Today, I'd like to take some time to introduce you to Lindsey McFarland! Lindsey has taken numerous classes at Feeling Scrappy is is currently working with us as our Guest Designer to plan our upcoming classes, "Get Inked!" and "Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine."
Here's a bit more about her-
How and when did you first start scrapbooking? After having my oldest son, 3.5 years ago. What is the most important aspect to scrapbooking to you? I love preserving memories for my children. Capturing some of the everyday moments that you might skip over.
What are your favorite pages to work on? The everyday moments. I always have my camera close at hand and love sneaking up on my boys just playing. We always remember the holidays and birthdays but I want my kids to look back at what might seem mundane today, and remember those everyday moments as their childhood.
What if anything do you find hard to scrap? Actually holidays and birthdays are the hardest for me to scrap.
What kind of camera do you use? Do you love it or hate it? Canon rebel xt and I LOVE it,What do you enjoy most about scrapbooking? Scrapbooking has become my stress releaser, my alone time. I usually scrap during nap time or once everyone is in bed. I love to turn the t.v/radio off and enjoy the quiet.
Tell us a little about your family. I have been married 4 years to my husband and together we have two wonderful boys. Aiden is three, quiet and sassy at the same time and loves anything to do with the Disney Cars movie. Owen is 11 months old and has the most beautiful blue eyes and long lashes. He is just starting to get into everything and keeps me on my toes.
Tell us about the things outside of scrapbooking that you enjoy. I love photography, cooking, reading, gardening and any type of craft. My friends and family jokingly call me Martha Lindsey. Growing up my parents owned a nursery and florist so I enjoy spending time working in the yard.
Tell us something about yourself that your Feeling Scrappy friends do not know. Some of my closest girlfriends are women I haven't even met. When I was pregnant with Aiden I joined a public message board of woman who were all due at the same time. We have since moved to a private board and talk almost daily. I have met a handful in real life and even vacationed with a few. We have been through so much as a group, births, deaths, divorces, good, bad and everyday mommy moments.
